Julien Blin, Principal Analyst and CEO of JBB Research, a leading research and consulting company focusing on the wireless and communications space. Mr Blin is an experienced former IDC Wireless Analyst covering the U.S. Mobile Entertainment space. He is very familiar with some of the most talked about topics in the U.S. wireless industry such as mobile social networking, mobile user-generated content/services, mobile advertising and wireless data. During his time at IDC, Mr Blin was in charge of building key market forecasts such as the U.S. Wireless Messaging (SMS, MMS, IM) and Ringtone Forecasts. He was also responsible for IDC’s U.S. Mobile Data Services Qview, a service providing comprehensive analysis of the top 10 domestic wireless carriers from a data content and services point of view. In 2008, Mr Blin held an Equity Research position at Wedbush Morgan Securities, a leading sell-side investment bank in Los Angeles, where he was covering public companies like Amdocs, Garmin, Openwave, Syniverse, TCS, and Nuance. Prior to IDC, he held research/consulting positions at Maravedis and Northern Sky Research. Mr Blin also held a position at Ovum Inc, and has experience in journalism. His extensive knowledge of the global Wireless industry, his experience at IDC and in equity research, his many contacts with wireless infrastructure companies (e.g. Nokia, Huawei, Qualcomm), European and U.S. carriers (e.g. Vodafone, France Telecom, Austria Telekom, Verizon Wireless, AT&T Mobility, etc.), wireless startups (mobile advertising companies, mobile entertainment companies, etc.), combined with his educational background in business administration are great assets. Perfectly bilingual French-English, Mr Blin has been quoted in leading industry publications and Web sites such as WSJ.com, Dow Jones, The New York Times, FORTUNE magazine, Business Week, Wireless Week, RCR Wireless Week, Telephony Online, FierceWireless, Telecomasia.net, Associated Press, InformationWeek, Red Herring, and Boston Globe. Mr Blin is currently licensed for series 7 and 87.
Anne Coyle, Head of PR/Marketing for JBB Research. Mrs Coyle is a seasoned communications professional with more than 15 years’ experience working with emerging and established technologies and brands in the telecommunications industry. Mrs Coyle has launched programs with communications service providers France Telecom, Sprint, Amp’d Mobile, Time Warner Cable and Verizon as well as with telecommunications-focused companies, such as AdaptiveMobile, MBlox, mPortal, NetCracker, Mobilocity (acquired by Qualcomm), and Neven Vision (acquired by Google). Her strategic oversight and management garner impressive results that tie into her clients’ overall business objectives and sales strategies. Achievements include media placements in the business press -- BusinessWeek, the Wall Street Journal, USA Today, the New York Times, Investor’s Business Daily – the technology press – eWeek, InformationWeek, Wireless Week, Telephony, Network World – and on broadcast outlets such as CNN and NBC. Her management of corporate and executive visibility programs has resulted in speaking engagements at the Mobile World Congress, CommunicAsia, CTIA and a host of other industry events. Her team runs international programs, with a specialty of launching foreign companies in the North American market. Mrs Coyle holds an MA in International Business from The Fletcher School at Tufts University and a BA in English Literature from Smith College.
